What are Non-Powder Metals?

Non-Powder Metals for AM include wire and bound-metal rods.

What are Bound-Powder Filaments?

Bound-Powder Filaments comprise rods of metal bound in polymer. They are used in fused-filament fabrication printers (such as those from Markforged and Desktop Metals), a process which extrudes the material in layers and the polymer acting as a binder. The AM parts then go through a debinding and sintering process. Alloys available include 17-4PH stainless steel, Inconel 625, and A2, D2 and H13 tool steels.
