Laser powder bed fusion (LPBF)
This metal-AM process employs a laser to melt powdered metal spread onto the top layer of a powder bed. Also called metal powder bed fusion or direct laser melting.
Any structure built from connected beam elements, typically in a uniform pattern. In additive manufacturing, manufacturers print lattice structures to minimize part weight while providing stiffness and mass where needed.
Sometimes called print resolution, this is the build height of each layer of a 3D printed part.
