PrintRite3D to be Provided as Factory Option for Ermaksan Enavision Metal-AM Machine

April 21, 2021

Sigma Labs, Inc. has been selected by Ermaksan Innovative Technologies to provide its PrintRite3D in-process quality-assurance technology as a factory option on Ermaksan’s Enavision metal-additive manufacturing (AM) machines, and it will be integrated with the machines’ Materialise control platforms. PrintRite3D detects and classifies defects and anomalies in real time during the AM process, enabling significant cost-savings and production efficiencies, according to Sigma Labs officials.

The agreement commences with an initial contract for a single Enavision system from Ermaksan for installation of PrintRite3D. Sigma Labs will install the PrintRite3D system at the Ermaksan facility in Bursa, Turkey, and expects to be in the position to certify the system as PrintRite3D-ready before moving it to an end user’s facility. Sigma Labs will provide Ermaksan with a comprehensive PrintRite3D system and hardware, software, training, engineering, metallurgical consulting and related support services.

“We that believe the integration and certification of PrintRite3D at Ermaksan’s factory will help ensure the best solution for its end-user customer,” says Mark Ruport, Sigma Labs chief executive officer. “We look forward to establishing a long-term relationship and collaborating with Ermaksan on future sales opportunities.”

This agreement represents an extension of Sigma Lab’s PrintRite3D Ready initiative, launched in 2020 to assure global manufacturers a consistent, standards-based way of monitoring the quality of a printed metal part, regardless of which metal 3D printer they are using, according to company officials.
