New Aluminum-Alloy Powder on the Market for Laser Powder-Bed Fusion Systems

November 19, 2020

NanoAl announced that it has commercialized its award-winning Addalloy 5T aluminum-alloy powder, designed for metal additive manufacturing (AM) via the laser powder-bed fusion process.

Company officials describe the aluminum-magnesium-based alloy as a high-performance powder that is easy to use and cost-effective to process due to it being 100-percent pre-alloyed, which eliminates secondary powder treatments or blends.

Addalloy 5T powders work on EOS, Renishaw, Concept Laser and other major laser-based platforms for metal AM.
