Mantle-Personnel-McCullum-Sales-Sloan-ManufacturingMantle, developer of metal 3D printing technology that it uses to target the tooling industry, has added Dana McCallum as vice president of sales and Mark Sloan as vice president of manufacturing.
Starting her career at Thogus, a custom injection molding company, McCallum joins Mantle after 6 yr. at Carbon. She serves on the board of Women in 3D Printing and the Society of Plastics Engineering Additive Manufacturing group, and is a past vice president of the Additive Manufacturing Users Group and recipient of its prestigious Distinguished Innovator Operators Award.
“Dana brings a unique combination of experience in injection molding, toolmaking, and additive manufacturing,” says Paul DiLaura, Mantle chief commercial officer. “Dana’s leadership will help us establish strong partnerships with our customers and support their efforts to change their tooling processes to lower lead times, costs, and cycle times.”
Sloan joins Mantle after 9 yr. at Sentient Energy, an IoT utility sensor company that was acquired by Koch Industries in 2020. He previously served as the vice president of operations at Finesse Solutions, a life-sciences-sensor company subsequently acquired by Thermo-Fisher.
“Mark will ensure that we bring our first systems to market in 2022 while instilling rigorous quality and reliability standards,” says Ted Sorom, Mantle chief executive officer and co-founder. “Dana will ensure strong customer partnerships from initial launch to widespread adoption.”
Earlier this year, Mantle announced $25 million in Series B funding with the goal to accelerate development and installation of its first commercial systems in early 2022.
